This game is seriously a riot! You gotta see it, for real. All you have to do is add your favorite foods (think fruit, marshmallows, etc) to each fork and then place the hat on your head, turn it on, and when the music starts the snacks spin and you have to eat as many and as much as you can before the music stops. This is the game this year that will make almost any family famous on Instagram!

We have a farm set nearly identical to this one and it has been a favorite toy for all three of my kids!
While adults and children can play almost anything together, there are some toys that are designed for adult participation. As your child approaches age 3 and beyond, early board games—that involve using one’s memory or simple board games that do not require reading—are fun for all ages to play. Consider starting a “family game night” when all of you play together. Board games encourage counting, matching, and memory skills, as well as listening skills and self-control (as children learn to follow the rules). They also nurture language and relationship-building skills. Another important benefit is teaching children to be gracious winners and how to cope with losing.

A toddler will start to achieve milestones in the realm of creativity as well. They’ll start to understand simple fantasy stories and how to develop and use their own creativity for pretend play. During this period, since the imagination becomes very active, it is crucial that the toddler learns how to separate fantasy from reality and an issue with nightmares might develop as well. In response, if your toddler achieves the milestone of simple problem solving and learning what is and isn’t correct, the issue shouldn’t expand into something more.
