What do you get when art collides with family game night? You get Scultapalooza, a game where players have to sculpt what’s on their card before time runs out. You scult your creations out of play foam that never dries out. The catch? You may be required to sculpt with your eyes closed or tag team with another member. Players must correctly guess what their team sculpted before time runs out to score a point. The first team to score 20 points wins.
Welcome to the magical kingdom of Cinderella’s Dream Castle. It utilizes the new 2018 Build and Swap modular building system. The castle itself is a sight to behold and something you can be proud to display. It features nice colors and a lot of small details that make it shine. There’s a lot of room to pose your figures and kids will have fun acting out various fun scenarios. What’s cool? With the modular design you can mix and match pieces from this set with other sets to expand the fun and even experiment with different designs. The set includes 2 minifigures, a horse, and carriage.
Exciting toddlers about the notion of brushing their teeth can be quite challenging. As they are still adjusting to the idea of a foreign object in their mouths; this can cause new or uncomfortable sensations that may, for example, activate their gag reflex. The banana-shaped teething toy provides a dual purpose in helping your baby get through these critical and uncomfortable milestones. It serves as a toothbrush meant to help your little one develop good habits for a healthy mouth while simultaneously providing your baby with a soft massaging effect to soothe sore gums and help teeth to break through. The gentle silicone bristles are made of 100% food grade materials that have been FDA approved and is also free of BPA, Latex, and other harsh substances.
You know how I love the idea of this kind of gift. Instead of getting a gift for your newborn who is happy to stare at jingling keys, why not get them something that will save kids in other countries? Some people may not like the “no gift to open” factor on this one, but some may love the gesture this brings. (For more gifts along this line, check out my Baby Gifts That Give Back post.)
Why we love it: It's small enough to tuck into your changing bag but the Whoozit's BIG on baby entertainment – with loads of differently patterned and textured fabrics to see, touch and feel, and a little mirror hidden behind his nose. Our tester Marley's mum loved the dangling legs and the little Velcro strap that lets you attach the toy to your baby's car seat or pushchair.
The Ninja Nightcrawler is based on the TV series. It is actually a lot larger than you would expect based on the pictures. It features a muscular racing-type look. Overall, the build quality is very good and it feels sturdy. The wheels are made of rubber and as you roll them and push down on the top of the vehicle, you can fire the studs. It features a spacious cockpit, seating one driver. The set is not particularly difficult to assemble. Set comes with three minifigures and a small motorbike. Kids will really enjoy having this set.
We all have had the experience of buying a toy that our child plays with for two days and never touches again. You can guard against that by looking for toys that can be fun at different developmental stages. For example, small plastic animals are fun for a young toddler who may make a shoebox house for them, while an older toddler can use them to act out a story she makes up.
Along with the teether, you will receive a hygienic carrying case that makes transporting it super easy. If the teether does get dirty, the silicone material is easy to clean. You can hand wash it or throw it in the dishwasher. The case will also help keep the teether clean. The fish-shaped design makes this teether great for front and back teeth. There are no added parts, thus you won’t have to worry about anything breaking off
With colorful and multifunctional wings, the Clip & Go Firefly Freddie is a great toy for your newborn baby and an excellent accessory to his or her stroller or even baby carrier. It can also be added to his or her existing mobile. It features a ladybug teether, clacking rings, a peek-a-boo mirror, a squeaker, and crinkly wings. It can also play a friendly and melodic jingle anytime anywhere. It is made of high quality and soft materials especially for the delicate skin of your baby.
5. Relevance to real life : Babies are learning about the world around them. They're trying to associate words with the pictures in books and the toys in their world. The objects that they play with and interact with on a daily basis can contribute to that understanding of the world. I advocate for at least some of a baby's toys to be related to or resemble real life objects. Look for baby books with real photos or realistic drawings of animals and toy animals that actually look like animals (as opposed to the singing octopus pirate previously mentioned). Let your baby play with cups and wooden spoons, wooden blocks, mirrors, scarves, etc.
